Quita Schabracq
About
Quita Schabracq (1992) is an Amsterdam architect, graduated from the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture and TU Delft. She focusses on the design of public spaces, buildings and exhibitions, built with bio-based or repurposed materials. Her approach is to design using participation workshops, involving and connecting local inhabitants and stakeholders with their environment.
Having studied and lived abroad in different places like Southern Africa, Lebanon and Spain, Quita has open attitude towards different views and an endless curiosity towards other perceptions and narratives. She continues to work with communities across the world to establish accessible, dignified and sustainable spaces, that foster community living.
Besides of her work as an architect she is involved in education, by teaching and taking part in the admissions and examinations at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture.
She draws her inspiration from arts, stories and nature.
